3D Micro Rapid Prototyping

The technology of two-photon polymerization of Nanoscribe’s direct laser writing systems can also be labeled as rapid prototyping or 3D printing of micro- and nanostructures. Shown below is a series of images which reveal the extraordinary high quality and resolution achievable by additive manufacturing – mostly employing liquid photoresists – by means of Photonic Professional laser lithography systems. In contrast to stereolithography (SLA), the resolution is between 1 and 2 orders of magnitude higher: Feature sizes in the order of 1 µm and less are standard. Burj Khalifa with a scale of 1:1,000,000 (828 µm height) written with "Photonic Professional".
It is obvious that there is no application for a micro-horse, however, it impressively demonstrates the ability of DiLL to fabricate very complex 3D micro-structures.
