Open Service for 3D Photonic Integration
|“We open our labs for visionary pioneers, creative innovators and early commercial adopters that are enthusiastic about exploring the disruptive potential of 3D additive fabrication in optics and photonics.“
(Prof. Christian Koos, KIT/IMT/IPQ)
The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the leading manufacturer of 3D laser lithography systems, Nanoscribe, combined their in-depth know-how and offer the worldwide first open lab for services of 3D additive manufacturing in optics and photonics.
PILOT-3D‘s competencies provide a one-stop platform covering the entire innovation chain from design via simulation to fabrication and characterization. The manufacturing process is embedded in a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment.
An important advantage is the access to technologies ranging from electron beam lithography to micromolding and advanced analytical tools such as SEM (electron microscopy) and AFM (atomic force microscopy).
In addition, the PILOT-3D´s portfolio contains a wide variety of optical characterization tools as well as a well-equipped laboratory for high-speed data communications.
