Galvanization

Metallic structures can be realized via a galvanization process. Here, a positive-tone photoresist like AZ9260 is chosen for the direct laser writing process. The exposed volume is washed away in a developer bath. Subsequently, the metal, e.g., gold, nickel or copper, is electrochemically deposited in a galvanization bath. In a final step, the positive tone photoresist can be completely removed. Please click on the thumbnails to open a detailed view.
