Successful Debut: Nanoscribe’s first Distributor Meeting in Asia Pacific
Nanoscribe’s first-ever Asia Pacific (APAC) Distributor Meeting took place at the company’s subsidiary in Shanghai, China. Eight distributors from four companies met at the Nanoscribe office which has been operating in the China Pilot Free-Trade Zone since 2018. The subsidiary was established in order to address the growing demand for high-resolution 3D printing solutions in APAC and to provide prompt and high-quality sales as well as service support which is heavily valued in this region.
The office is a base for the Nanoscribe APAC Service Team, responsible for installations, service and trainings of Nanoscribe systems in the region, as well as its dedicated Sales Team. Due to the immediate successes of both, the Sales and Service teams in 2018, Nanoscribe China is hiring additional personnel to achieve its expansion goals. Nanoscribe China’s general manager Dr. Wanyin Cui underlines: “We are very pleased with the new momentum that our team in Shanghai is generating, and we are proud of the successes achieved in the first year.”
The Distributor Meeting also featured live demonstrations of the Photonic Professional GT2, which was launched in December, as well as the first ever presentation of the 3D Microfabrication Solution Set Large Features. This solution set enables the manufacturing of structures up to the millimeter range on an area of 100x100 mm², with submicrometer precision. The demo was used to produce an 8 millimeter high version of the Shanghai World Financial Center. This well-known characteristic of the Shanghai skyline is affectionately known to locals as the “bottle opener”. This demonstrated not only the GT2’s ability to produce mesoscale objects with filigree structures, but also the increase in speed compared to its predecessor.
The participants received a hands-on training with the PPGT2. In addition, they got an introduction to NanoGuide, Nanoscribe’s brand-new knowledge base available to customers and users of the printers. It provides detailed information and guides on Nanoscribe hardware, software, photoresins and print processes. The event closed with a traditional Chinese dinner as a perfect finish to a long working day! With 100% of participants stating that they would like to attend the next Distributor Meeting, it can be viewed as a success for all involved.Share this site on facebook
